Judy produces a range of pj's jams and sauces using the cabernet and shiraz grapes and these products are used on the menu and you can also purchase them to take home and enjoy. We have an open fire burning in winter and plenty of shade to shelter under in summer. Our friendly team will ensure your visit is relaxed and enjoyable. The cellar has been built in the middle of the vineyard and beautiful scenic views over the vineyard extending to the hills. Angas plains estate wines are a little exclusive as they are not available in the wine chain stores. The property boats 2 important holding dams for storage of water for minimal irrigation for the vines during the summer months. The region’s vineyards reach out across 600 hectares and has grown due to its ideal climate and soils to provide consistent premium quality grapes. Phillip bought into a private pipeline to deliver River Murray Water to his property providing the opportunity to redevelop his mixed farm into a vineyard in the Langhorne Creek Wine region. A very insignificant crush to yield PJ’s Cabernet Sauvignon. In 2003 production expanded to produce PJ’s Shiraz and PJ’s Cabernet Sauvignon, with production increasing annually, while also maintaining the supply of grapes to some other buyers. Won our beginning Gold Silver Medal for our wines. In 2005 the wine storage was constructed on the property. In October 2006 Angus Plains Wines Cellar Door was built, and we invited everyone to step thou our large wooden doors and experience our wines and have a rewarding experience with us. From 2006 to now Angus Plains Wines has been active to constantly take protection of their environment and have the vineyard in balance which has at times been difficult with natures intervention. In 2017 we were unable to supply new release wines as we delayed our bottling of our red wines to ensure our quality standard which resulted in our 5 star rating being lowered to 4 stars. Our facilities have been expanding ever since opening, to ensure visitors can appreciate their visit on our attractive property. T his blending and weaving of stories ranges from how the district and farming have changed to w hat’s happening in other districts and the joy and heartbreak of people’s life journeys. Delicious inspiring rustic food is served 5 days per week. This is a chance to not only source beautiful, unique wines but also to relax in comfort in an authentic vineyard setting.
